Jujutsu Kaisen
Start with Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, and Gojo's class.
A release-order path that keeps the prequel film and Hidden Inventory arc in useful context.
For a first viewing, watch Jujutsu Kaisen season 1, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, season 2 in its broadcast order, and then season 3: Culling Game Part 1. Although Hidden Inventory and the film occur earlier, release order introduces the power system and gives Gojo, Geto, and Yuta the intended amount of context.
Reviewed 2026-06-28Start with Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, and Gojo's class.
Prequel film best watched after season 1.
Gojo and Geto backstory at the start of season 2.
Season 2's main present-day arc.
Season 3 continuation after Shibuya.
The first season introduces curses, domains, Jujutsu High, and Yuji's central problem without asking the viewer to understand earlier relationships. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 then expands Yuta and Geto while season 2 deliberately opens with Gojo's school years. That pattern makes the past increasingly meaningful rather than front-loading names and rules.
Hidden Inventory is a flashback at the start of season 2, followed by the present-day Shibuya Incident. Splitting those arcs apart to chase chronology weakens their thematic connection. Culling Game follows Shibuya's consequences, so it belongs after the complete second season even if a platform lists arcs as separate titles.
Watch season 1, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film, season 2 from Hidden Inventory through Shibuya Incident, and season 3: Culling Game Part 1. This is the clearest current route as of the review date. Recap editions and compilation films can refresh earlier material but should not replace the full seasons for a new viewer.
A timeline-first rewatch begins with Hidden Inventory, continues to Jujutsu Kaisen 0, then season 1, Shibuya Incident, and Culling Game Part 1. It is coherent once you know the cast, but it is not our first-view recommendation. Hidden Inventory assumes the audience recognizes the later importance of Gojo, Geto, and several institutions introduced by season 1.
Light comedy tags that do not advance the central plot.
A condensed theatrical alternative for returning viewers, not a required new arc.
Useful refreshers only; first-time viewers should watch the complete episodes.
Strongly recommended after season 1 because Yuta and Geto remain important.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 can work alone, but season 1 gives a smoother explanation of the setting and makes returning characters easier to recognize.
Season 2 places the arcs together for a reason. The flashback changes how the present-day conflict feels.
It is strongly recommended. The film introduces Yuta and develops Geto before later arcs rely on that context.
Only on a rewatch. Season 1 remains the clearest introduction for new viewers.
Season 3 begins the Culling Game continuation.
They are better used as refreshers. The complete episodes preserve more character and story detail.
